This past weekend, Rutgers Chabad treated its dorm residents to ice cream at Dairy Deluxe in Highland Park. Over twenty residents from Chabad’s dorm at Rutgers University attended the first dorm outing of the year. “The ice cream trip was nice,” stated freshman, Nachum Fisch, “not just for the ice cream, but for Chabad giving us an opportunity to relax in the middle of a semester, which might otherwise be considered a stressful time.” Transportation to Highland Park was provided by Chabad as well as first-year student Geddy Gerstle, who drove students in his car. All of the students were extremely grateful for the ice cream. “It was delicious and an incredible bonding experience for me and my fellow Chabad dorm mates!” exclaimed Allie, and echoed by fellow first year student, Cara Greenspan. “The ice cream hit the spot after Shabbat,” stated dorm resident Andrew, “I can’t wait to see what Chabad has planned for our next trip.”
